Hand-Laid veneers can be a very gentle, fast, economical and dramatic smile makeover option!

    1. Keep Your Enamel: instead of buffing away a healthy layer of enamel for porcelain veneers (albeit a very small amount), hand-laid veneers can be placed directly on top of your tooth surface using composite resin to create the shade and shape of tooth that is needed. It is a very gentle procedure that may not even require anesthetic to perform.
    2. Time & Cost-Effective: hand-laid veneers are much more economical compared with porcelain veneers, since we do not require the help of a dental laboratory to create the porcelain shells.  We do not need to create impressions and have them sent to the laboratory, and we do not need a separate appointment to bond them on.  With proper care and maintenance, they can remain great looking for 10 years and up.
    3. Easy to Polish & Repair: hand-laid veneers can easily be repaired by using composite resin to fill in any wear or chipping that might happen over the years. Composite is a material that ages gracefully, and usually does not split apart or develop big chips.  Porcelain veneers are a dramatically beautiful material that are initially stronger and longer lasting compared with composite, but repairs often means remaking the porcelain veneer entirely.

    Hand-Laid Composite Veneer Cost

The first thing that we are asked in regard to veneers is the cost. There are a lot of different factors that come into play in determining the final cost, but on average at Wellbeing Dental, the cost for Hand-Laid Composite Veneers is $450 per tooth while Porcelain Veneer is $1200.

    Dental Porcelain Veneers Process

In general, the porcelain veneers process will require two visits to the dental office.

    • In the first visit, the dentist will prepare the teeth by removing a very small layer of enamel from the tooth or teeth that are getting the veneers. He or she will then take a mold of the teeth that will be sent off to the lab where the veneers are prepared, with the finished pieces custom made to perfectly fit your teeth. There is a feeling for many that the removal of enamel may be a painful process, but that is absolutely not the case. The amount of enamel removed is actually very small, with the majority of patients not even requiring an anesthetic for the process.
    • Once your veneers are ready, you will head back to the dentist to have them put in place. The veneers essentially act like a cover for your teeth, slipping over top to give the appearance of a healthy, shining tooth. The changes delivered by veneers are immediate and impressive, but perhaps best of all, the entire process, from start to finish, is about as painless as it gets. We want every patient to feel as comfortable as possible, so we will always go out of our way to make sure that you always feel relaxed when you visit our Delta Dentistry Office.

    DENTAL VENEERS vs. CROWNS

When you are thinking about repairing a damaged tooth, there are several options open to you. Veneers are popular, as are crowns, with each having their own list of pros and cons. The choice you make may actually be dependent upon your specific situation, so we will talk you through all the options and help you decide whether a veneer or a crown is the best way to go.

    Dental Veneers lifespan

One of the concerns we hear from patients is that they are concerned that their veneers might break long before their estimated 10-15-year lifespan. While there is a chance that a veneer might break, we do all we can to ensure that this will not be the case. One of the things that a good dentist will do before offering a veneer is evaluate the bite of the patient. Doing so helps the dentist and the lab create a veneer that is designed to not just fit your teeth, but also accommodate your bite style in a way where breakage will not be much of an issue.

    Dental Veneer's Benefits

One of the real benefits of veneers is that people will never know that you have them. They are designed to look and feel like real teeth, making your great smile look totally natural. Looking after them involves the same steps you would take in looking after your original teeth, which means brushing, flossing, and rinsing with antiseptic mouthwash at least twice per day. Maintain good dental health procedures and your veneers will last a very long time.

    Dental Veneer's Insurance

Whether you choose porcelain or resin veneers, the common question is whether your insurance offers any benefits for those procedures. For the most part, cosmetic procedures, such as veneers, are not covered by insurance. There are exceptions to the rule, which can be explored, plus we can help put together a payment plan. Dental Veneers FAQ

    How Are Dental Veneers Done?

Sometimes the cosmetic dentist shaves your teeth. Then, the desired teeth are molded. The laboratory prepares the dental veneers according to the molds, and the dentist adhesives it with special glue on your teeth. Now you can smile with confidence.

    Who Cannot Use Dental Veneers?

One of the most important conditions is the lack of a patient’s oral habits, such as bruxism, which can fracture the laminates and damage them over time. Besides, those whose teeth are widely decayed cannot use Veneers. In this case, the cosmetic dentist treats tooth decay or gum infection and then applies ceramic and composite laminates. People whose dental enamel tissues are insufficient cannot have laminates. For these people, we usually use a dental crown instead of dental veneers. Call us for more information on Veneers Delta Service.

How Long Is the Life Span of Dental Crowns?

If you take care of them and have oral hygiene, your dental crowns will last between five to fifteen years. Sometimes the beneath natural tooth is decayed, or the crowns fall off due to loosening of the glue. Our cosmetic dentist will help you with gluing or renewing them.
